"Creating a New Normal"
A Woman interviewed had survived being stabbed over 50 times by her husband.
This after he murdered their two young children. She said that nothing would be
the same; she would have to "create a new normal".
What happened to this young woman is an extreme event. However, for all of
us; there are times in our lives when we have to "create a new normal:.
When I married, Fred we "created a new normal". We probablydid not
give it much thought, we were young and anxious to be a couple. When we became
parents, again we had to create a 'new normal'.
Many times we are called to "create a new normal'. Perhaps you have lost
a loved one and life will never be the same. Or perhaps lost a job, a home. I
think of the folks in the Gulf states where homes and lives have been destroyed.
Their lives will never be the same. They find it necessary to "create a new
normal".
This is when our faith in a caring personal God is so important. Knowing that
With Christ all things are possible, even creating a "new normal'. A
little prayer I copied is one to pray out loud each day.
"I am beloved of God...I am in His favor (I am not being punished"
"I believe I am always divinely guided (by God)"
"I believe I will always take the right path (as I allow God to lead
me)"
"I believe I will always take the right path (as I allow God to lead
me)"
"I believe God will always make a way where there is no way"
"I Praise God for this day and this circumstance" YES !!!
At the beginning of a new year I am reminded we serve a God of new beginnings,
helping us "create a new normal" in our lives Ephesians 3:20-21.

"Three Reasons to Read the Bible"
1) It is God's main way of communicating with y9u. It tells you who God is,
it tells you what God wants you to know. (Psalm 119:160) "All your Words
are true; all your just laws will stand forever".
2) We read the bible because it tells you how to have eternal life. It tells
you to turn from your sins. It tells you to believe in Jesus so that your sins
will be forgiven. Gospel of John 3:16
3) We read the Bible because it tells us how to live. It records God's
commands for living Exodus 20:1-17.
It records Jesus' life and teaching. His life is a perfect example of how we
should live.
From another book: God speaks to us through His Word (the Bible) and Holy
Spirit and others.
HEAVEN OR HELL, WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?
We are created deternal beings...we will live eternally. The question is
'where'? Would you be surprised to know it is our CHOICE?
If we choose to accept God's gift of Grace(His love and forgiveness),
trusting in all that Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, not depending on our
goodness, but on HIS goodness, we will indeed spend all Eternity in His
presence.
1 John 5:11-13 tells us, if we have Jesus in our life, we have eternal life.
It is written so we KNOW, right now, where we will spend all eternity.
